Pearl Jam Cancels Additional Tour Dates Due to Ongoing Illness

Pearl Jam has extended their European tour cancellations due to persistent illness among band members. The rock group had initially called off a performance at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the weekend. They have now also canceled two shows at Waldbühne in Berlin, originally set for July 2 and 3.

In a statement shared on social media, the band expressed their regret and acknowledged that, despite their best efforts, they have not yet fully recovered. Their next live performance is now planned for July 6 in Barcelona.

The band conveyed their disappointment and the challenging nature of the decision to cancel. “We understand the significant impact of this decision,” they said. “We deeply regret that so many fans have invested time, money, and emotional energy to attend our shows, and it is heartbreaking to let you down. We also recognize the hard work of those who make these events possible.”

They assured fans that such decisions are never made lightly and that they strive to fulfill their commitments. “We wish we could have rescheduled this leg of the tour and hope to return soon. Tickets will be refunded at the original point of purchase. Your ongoing understanding and support mean everything to us.”

The specific illness and affected band members have not been disclosed. However, during a recent show, lead singer Eddie Vedder hinted at contracting an illness after interacting with fans at their Dublin concert a few days earlier.

Pearl Jam is currently touring to promote their latest album, “Dark Matter.” After concluding their remaining dates in Germany and Spain, they are scheduled to take a short break before starting the US leg of their tour on August 26.

We were exhausted after a long day of travel, so we headed back to the hotel and crashed.

I had low expectations about Sofia as a city, but after the walking tour I absolutely loved the place. This was an easy city to navigate, and it was a beautiful city – despite its ugly, staunch and stolid communist-built surrounds. Sofia has a very average facade as you enter the city, but once you lose yourself in the old town area, everything changes.
